La ligne, l’écriture, la trame
La ligne : elle relie deux points entre eux. Elle représente le chemin qui mène d’un lieu à un autre. Elle permet également de composer des mots chargés de sens.
La grille : enchevêtrement de lignes ou de fils, symbole d’enfermement ou de protection.
La trame : composition organisée de fils entrecroisés créant un matériau fin et résistant, le tissu.

Line, writing, weft
The line: it connects two points. It’s a path that guides from one place to another. It also leads to writing, hence to conveying meaning.
The grid: a tangle of lines or wires, symbols of imprisonment or protection.
The weft: organized composition of intersecting threads creating a fine and resistant material, the fabric.
